Career Training Academy (CTA) has been a customer of Training Masters since 2005. We implemented the STARS Campus Management system for all three campuses because it had the flexibility of retrieving data that we needed for our various regulatory reports and student statistics and record-keeping. The query system allows us to customize the information we need.
The “Pursuing Instructional Excellence” (PIE) series is mandatory for all instructors at CTA. The CD-Rom-based program covers teaching techniques and strategies that enhance classroom instruction and provides professional development. All new and veteran instructors benefit from this program. We love it!
The KlickerZ training tool has been used in our classes – until our high school representatives decided to borrow it to “take it on the road” and include it in their presentations. It motivates the students to interact with the presenter and generates enthusiasm.
We have just instituted the PlanetGRAD product and are very excited about it. This is an online placement system that connects alumni, employers and upcoming graduates. Employers can post job openings that our grads can access. It also allows graduates to post their resumes and portfolios for employers to view.
Training Masters continually enhances their products and will customize features if needed. We are very pleased with our relationship with Training Masters.

“In October of 2005 we recognized that Career Training Academy needed a management system; a system that could service the needs of three schools and was expandable. We determined that we needed a system that did not require additional hardware on the premises, did not require a dedicated employee to keep it running, was secure, and had a comprehensive approach to school management. After approximately 9 months of reviewing various systems we found many lacked a comprehensive program that would service admissions through placement.
Some were just clock hour based, some were very costly to implement and maintain, and some required additional hardware and an employee to see they functioned properly.

Cheri Horton, high school presenter for Herzing College in Burmingham, uses Training Masters’ KlickerZ and The Plastic Piranha program. “Students love the KlickerZ. The presentation is very interactive and it works so well in the classroom setting. Students are definitely learning from the Piranha and they love the music. They are getting pre-approved information in the mail, and they are so excited about having $5000 of credit available. All of the information in the Piranha program is timely,” Cheri said. “I like how at the end the system shows what percent each remote got right. Most of the scores are low, between 20-30% right, which means that the high school students aren’t very well informed about the use and abuse of credit cards and they need to be. Also, the system is very easy to set up. With needing to be mobile in the high school going from room to room, this is very important.”
